German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke positively about talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. According to him, the conversation was “very intense and also very confidential.”

Scholz claims that Germany has a clear strategy according to which it will have serious consequences for Moscow in the event of military aggression against Ukraine. The West has already prepared sanctions.

He also noted that the length of the conversation with the Russian leader is a good sign. Scholz also noted that there are sufficient preconditions for achieving peace and security in Europe.

The German Chancellor also commented on the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin about what is happening in the Donbas. He had previously said about the genocide in the region. However, Scholz is confident that Putin's use of the word “genocide” in relation to the Donbas is wrong.

On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Moscow. After the interview, the Russian leader, in response to the deputies' call for recognition of the DLR and LLR, said that it was necessary to solve the problems of Donbas on the basis of the Minsk agreements.
