About the President's Web Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, states that criminal cases have been opened involving 170 cases of torture of demonstrators. The publication refers to the words of the country's Attorney General, Gizat Nurdauletov.
It should be noted that the prosecutor's office has been complained of torture 305 times. Initiated criminal cases are qualified under articles of abuse of power and torture.
