Chad of warships The Northern Navy of the Russian Navy has entered the Mediterranean Sea to take part in naval exercises. This was announced in the fleet's press service.
The department includes the missile cruiser “Marshal Ustinov”, the frigate “Admiral Kasatonov” and the large anti-submarine ship “Vice Admiral Kulakov”. All of the above ships sailed into the Mediterranean Sea through the Strait of Gibraltar.
During the exercise, the ship's crews will improve their ability to interact with the ships of the Black Sea and Pacific Fleets. Previously, the ships of the Northern Fleet participated in the exercises of the Arctic Expeditionary Group. The exercise was commanded by the commander of the Northern Fleet, Hero of Russia, Admiral Alexander Moiseev.
A total of more than 140 ships and support vessels, 60 aircraft, 1,000 pieces of military equipment and about 10,000 troops will take part in the Russian Navy exercise. The exercises themselves will take place not only in the Mediterranean and the North Sea, but also in the Okhotsk Sea, the Northeast Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.
