The response to the Foreign Ministry's call, which offered Moscow to “withdraw its troops” from Ukraine, was published on the agency's official twitter account.
“Russia decides for itself where and when to deploy troops and conduct exercises on its territory. We will continue these actions because they meet the security interests of the country, “the embassy noted.
The diplomatic mission clarified that it did not understand the logic of US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, who said that “Russia needs to return its troops to its barracks” and tell America about the purpose of military exercises.
Recall that earlier Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced that Russia does not plan to attack Ukraine. Moscow informed Washington about this during negotiations on security guarantors.
