New sanctions against Russian companies Ambassador Anatoly Antonov described as a confrontational step. The diplomat therefore commented on the US Department of Commerce's decision to ban several Russian companies.
Antonov emphasized that such a decision was in conflict with the agreements reached at the negotiations between Putin and Biden in Geneva. According to the diplomat, this step will not be beneficial for the normalization of a number of bilateral relations.
Recall that today the US Department of Commerce has blacklisted three Russian companies and three individuals. According to US officials, anyone under the sanctions “bought American electronic equipment to carry out Russian armed programs.”
