Weapons and ammunition in succession
The US military has left thousands of vehicles, many without keys, as well as hundreds of armored vehicles. Small arms and ammunition remained at the base.
Heavy weapons that could not evacuate were eliminated – they blew them up.
On the night of July 2, the last American army left Bagram Air Base … So suddenly and without warning Kabul, as they appeared here 20 years ago.
No handover ceremony took place. Raiders immediately appeared at the base, followed by local security forces. During the peak years of the operation against the Taliban, there were up to 100,000 troops at the base.
