Former head of Prokopyevsk Kemerovska Vyacheslav Starchenko, dismissed immediately after his appointment, denied allegations of organizing a banquet during mourning for those killed in the Listvyazhnaya mine.

According to MK Kuzbass, the former regional governor Sergei Tsivilev has just removed the appointed mayor due to cadres spreading on the Internet. It was reported that Starchenko held a banquet for friends on the occasion of his appointment as mayor, in addition, the celebration took place on the day of the emergency in the mine, where several dozen miners and five rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations died. Mourning has been declared in the region.

“I think it's a fake, I wasn't there,” Starchenko told Izvestia. “There was no music, no toast.” According to the ex-official, he did not hold any events on the occasion of his inauguration and now he wants law enforcement to deal with the authors of the video.
