Minister Crimean culture Arina Novoselskaya is suspected of taking a bribe of 25 million rubles. He informed the committee of inquiry.
According to investigators, in 2018 the Minister received a large sum from the beneficiary of the Meander Construction and Restoration Company for sponsoring the construction of the Crimean Center for Children's Performing Arts.
Earlier, the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, said that investigative measures were being taken against the official. He noted that it is part of the work to control the work of officials.
Novoselské is 45 years old. Since 2014, he has headed the Crimean Ministry of Culture.
The official is known for swearing at a video conference of the government of the republic. Aksenov reprimanded her and ordered an investigation, but did not recall the minister.
