According to the partner, the United States is deliberately escalating the situation in Eastern Europe in order to obtain a pretext for bringing its forces into Ukraine permanently.
The historian noted that Russia has something to respond to a potential threat, because since the time of the USSR, the country has a strong nuclear potential, which remains second in the world. And this arsenal, according to Yulin, remains Russia's only defense.
“NATO is much stronger than Russia, both in numbers and weapons. So if the Americans suddenly develop a really good missile defense, we can expect military action against our country, “he said.
At the same time, the expert stressed that the United States is China. which poses a serious threat to the economic power of Americans.
If a military conflict does occur, then, according to Yulin, the classic scenario will be followed: with weapons in hand and on the battlefield.
“All this will most likely take place under the slogans of a peace operation, coercion of peace,” the historian said, citing NATO's military aggression against Yugoslavia in 1999 as an example.
Bloomberg had previously said, citing anonymous sources, that the United States had allegedly warned its allies of Russia's plans to launch an “invasion” of Ukraine.
