As he writes Bloomberg, US officials have expressed concerns to their European Union colleagues that Russia may allegedly consider the possibility of an “invasion” of Ukraine
Estimates are based on information that the US has not yet provided, the material says. But according to officials familiar with the US administration, these allegations are supported by publicly available evidence.
At the same time, a Bloomberg source “close to the Kremlin” said that Moscow did not plan to start a war with Ukraine, but should allegedly show a willingness to use force if necessary.
Another source told the publication that an offensive was unlikely. He explained that Russian troops would face public opposition in Kiev.
