first reading on na Tuesday's meeting a bill that provides for the freezing of the valorisation of the amount of the financial contribution to be taken into account when calculating military pensions.
The fact is that by law the financial contribution must be taken into account when calculating the pension of 54%. And from January 1, 2013, it increases by 2% every year until it reaches 100% of its size. Now the government has proposed to suspend this standard until January 1, 2023, while increasing the amount of the monetary contribution taken into account in calculating the pension from the current 73.68% to 74%.
Recall that a year earlier law. Thereafter, a freeze on the valorisation of military pensions was introduced until 1 January 2022. This provision is therefore in fact extended by one year.
At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers explained that the budget envisages an increase in financial contributions for the army by 4%. This will also increase the pensions of persons who have completed military and similar service by 4%.
