US Citizen Paul Whelan tried to get information about students in the educational institution of the FSB of Russia. This was stated by the prosecutor Sergei Lukoyanov at the court in Nizhny Novgorod. Paul Whelan was arrested in December 2018 at the Metropol Hotel. He was found guilty of espionage and sentenced to 16 years in a colony with a strict regime.
