Legislation on the retention of users' personal data has already been tightened in Uzbekistan. Social networks that do not want to store data on Uzbek servers will be prosecuted by imposing fines and bans on their activities.

To make it more convincing, the Uzbek authorities have made changes to the country's criminal legislation: for example, the illegal collection and storage of information about citizens has introduced criminal liability in accordance with § 141-2 (violation of the Personal Data Act) of the Czech Criminal Code. .
