Former Deputy Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Nadezhda Savchenko was photographed in the niqab – muslim headdress covering the face with a slit for the eyes. She posted several of these pictures on Facebook. Some are made in the mosque.
Savchenko also spoke about her attitude to religion. She wrote that religion provides a set of moral rules and values. Savchenko also drew attention to the fact that Islam is perceived in the modern world as a religion of oppression and suffering of human rights. “Few people will see that Islam is a religion of the universe and a will for the soul, spirit and faith in God,” the former MP said.
