At the checkpoint Ukrainian carriers “Krakowec-Karchova”, in the face of the blockade of the Poles, went on hunger strike. “Strana” writes about it.

The drivers demand to increase the number of passing trucks to 14 per hour in response to the Polish authorities' decision to allow only one truck per hour.

“We wanted to participate in a peaceful rally – dealing with protesters. We were blocked by the police. About 250 people on one side. We were not allowed to get to the protesters,” said one of the drivers. He added that a meeting with the consul is now expected.

Ukrainian drivers also reiterated that trucks carrying fuel and dangerous goods are not passing through, despite promises to give them priority. “There are 1,207 of us in the queue, refrigerators and tankers,” remarked one of the interviewees.
