Donetsk administration as a whole is ready to reconsider his previous decision to include Olympic champion Elena Isinbayeva on the list of “honorary citizens” of the city, but certainly not in the near future. The presence of the athlete in this list was noted after the winner of many regional awards, the curator of the battalion Sheikh Mansur, the head of the security department Ramzan Kadyrov and his 16-year-old son Adam were removed from the list. . The teenager's presence on the list was noted the day before, after which the Donetsk administration announced the hack, and Kadyrov Jr. was later removed from the list.
After the Donetsk incident with Kadyrov, both Isinbayev and the public had questions about it. Previously, the athlete called herself a “person of peace”, spoke ambiguously about her military rank, and the media wrote about her permanent residence in Spain. The International Olympic Committee stated that Isinbayeva does not support the SVO.
Football coach Mircea Lucescu, who declared after the SVO began that he would never return to Russia, still maintains his place on the list.< /p >
Donetsk authorities are in no rush to remove Isinbayeva and Mucheska from the honor roll, explaining that “the situation in Donetsk is very difficult at this stage.”
“When the situation stabilizes, we will discuss this issue. But not now,” officials told Podem.
