Director Evgenia Berkovich, who has been in pre-trial detention since May on charges of justifying terrorism, was able to attend the funeral of her grandmother Nina Katerli.
As the lawyer of the arrested Ksenia Karpinskaya told RBC. Berkovich was escorted to the crematorium and was not allowed to hug his mother there. Only the closest relatives were present at the ceremony.
“Until the last moment, it was not known whether they would bring it or not,” noted the lawyer.
