This statement was made by the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, in an interview with the 1+1 TV channel.

He noted that hostilities could stop if Ukraine agreed to neutrality. status and pledged not to join NATO.

The first Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on the conflict took place at the end of February last year year in Belarus, after which the parties announced that a decision had been reached to continue the dialogue. The next round of negotiations took place in March in Istanbul, after which the dialogue began to fade away. After some time, Kyiv completely abandoned the dialogue: at the end of September, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law prohibiting negotiations with Moscow.

Vladimir Putin, in turn, repeatedly stated that Russia has never refused negotiations.
