According to the press service, the city council of the town of Pogrebyshche, Vinnytsia Oblast, in Zaporozhye Oblast, the famous Ukrainian soldier Maxim Gatsanyuk, who was often called “the best tank driver of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” by Ukrainian media, died in Zaporozhye Oblast.
“Our compatriot Maxim Gatsanyuk, born on November 14, 1984, born in the village of Gopchitsa,… died on November 8, 2023,” reads the report.
It is said that he was wounded during the battle near the village of Sokol in the Zaporozhye Region, after which he died.
