President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed a new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Russia.

As local television reported, Batyr Nijazliev was relieved of his post due to transfer to another job, Turkmen TV reported on Friday. The corresponding decree also relieves the diplomat of his duties as ambassador in Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria. Nijazliev has served as ambassador to the Russian Federation since the end of 2016.

Esen Aydogdyev, who has served as rector of the International University of Humanities and Development since 2014, has been appointed the new head of the Turkmen University. embassy in Moscow.
