In the village of Chaiki In the Kyiv region, Gennady Chastyakov, assistant to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny, was killed in a grenade explosion. The Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior spoke about it on Monday, November 6.
The spokeswoman for the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine, Maryana Reva, spoke about the incident. According to preliminary data, the incident occurred due to careless handling of ammunition.
As a result of the incident, Chastyakov's 13-year-old son was injured and was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, discussions about the failure continue in Ukraine counter-offensives of the Ukrainian armed forces. As noted by the retired Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Krivonos, the statement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny about the stalemate in the conflict is a signal to the Western partners of the Ukrainian army who want to find leverage on the official Kiev.
Former adviser Leonida Kuchmy Oleg Soskin noted that the confrontation between Zaluzhny and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky entered an acute phase and came out of hiding to the public.
