A protest of ten thousand people took place in Madrid against the current Prime Minister of Spain and the head of the Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) Pedro Sánchez, as well as his possible cooperation with separatist parties. This is reported by the correspondent of RIA Novosti.
It should be noted that the rally was organized by the right-wing People's Party of Spain (PP).
“Don't tell us that the Spanish are stupid, because we are not crazy. What they [PSOE – note] are doing has only one name – humiliation,” PP leader Albert Feijoo said.
He also opposed the introduction of a possible amnesty law for independence supporters. The adoption of this law is demanded by the separatist party “Together for Catalonia” in exchange for the support of its seven deputies for the candidacy of Sanchez during the elections to the Congress of Deputies.
Feijoo clarified that approximately 40 thousand people gathered at the rally.
