Armenian Prime Minister Nikol In an interview with Politico, Pashinyan said that Russian peacekeepers had failed in their task in Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to him, Nagorno-Karabakh was the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers. At the same time, against the background of the humanitarian crisis after the closure of the Lachin Corridor, the situation in the region changed significantly.
“There are problems with the closure of this corridor, which means that the peacekeeping troops from the Russian Federation did not manage their task. However, I cannot say that if Russian peacekeeping troops had not appeared in this region, the current situation would have been better,” added Pashinyan.
