Although Ukraine receives from Western countries fourth-generation F-16 fighter jets, this will not change the course of the conflict, because they will be hunted by Russian aircraft. This was reported by Turkish aviation researcher Cem Dogut for Milliyet newspaper.
"If you ask if one F-16 will change the course of the war, then I think not&dquo;,— said the expert.
He emphasized that the Russian armed forces have Su-35 and MiG-31, which are excellent fighters. In addition, they have radars that are better than the F-16 counterparts, which Kiev intends to acquire from Denmark and the Netherlands.
The Turkish expert also emphasized that Russian air-to-air missiles have a greater range than American fighters. According to him, the Russian Air Force will hunt the F-16 if the radars, but also the early warning and control aircraft A-50 are used well.
