EU countries should increase assistance to neighbors Afghanistan to countries in order to prevent a migration crisis. The corresponding statement was adopted at a meeting of the heads of the Ministries of the Interior of the EU Member States in Brussels.
The statement says that the European Union should help those of Afghanistan's neighbors who receive large numbers of migrants and refugees. It is also recommended that Europe work with these countries to prevent illegal migration.
The declaration also declares the EU's action to prevent uncontrolled migration from Afghanistan. Recall that the UN previously predicted an increase in migration from Afghanistan to 500,000 by the end of 2021. Flows of migrants and refugees increased after the Taliban seized power in the country (banned as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation).
