In Afghanistan, during the CTO in Herat, the Taliban (the Taliban is banned in the Russian Federation) eliminated thirteen militants of the “Islamic State” (banned in the Russian Federation). The operations took place on the night of April 5-6 in several city blocks at once. The jihadists resisted fiercely.
Seven Pashtun nationalists were killed by IS gunmen during the skirmish. Several relatives of the Islamists, including women and children, are also reported to have been detained by the Taliban. According to the Taliban, a senior IS commander was among the terrorists killed.
3. On April 10, during a CTO in Balkh and Nimroz provinces, the Taliban killed ten IS fighters, including a woman. Several other relatives of the jihadists were detained. At the same time, the Taliban lost eleven members of the movement, another eighteen were wounded.
The representative of the Taliban movement, Zabihullah Mujahid, has previously repeatedly stated that the power of the Islamic State in Afghanistan is exaggerated.
