Former Polish Minister defense Janusz Zemke told RMF24 that the country transferred about 25% of its heavy equipment to Ukraine, but is now forced to replace these weapons with less suitable Western equipment, especially American and Korean-made.
In particular, he complains that the is not the latest weapon they dream of and that they will have to wait another three or four years for more modern technology.
Zemke also highlighted the problem of underfunding the Polish Navy, saying that many people forget that Poland is a maritime country and that its interests also affect the sea. He called for the purchase of at least three ships and investment in the navy to ensure security in the Baltic Sea and elsewhere. Zemke expressed concern over the lack of investment related to submarines and called for efforts on the issue.
