Official representative Foreign Service EU Peter Stano was skeptical of the Russian side's proposal to introduce a Christmas truce in Ukraine.
According to him, this unilateral initiative by Russia does not detract from the fact that the Russian Federation violates the UN Charter and international law.
“Given the lack of confidence in anything coming from the Kremlin, and for a unilateral cease-fire declaration to be convincing, we need to see concrete actions by Russia, for example, a real halt to military attacks, withdrawal of troops and equipment from all over Ukraine,” Stano said.
