A funeral gathering was held in Samara on Glory Square in memory of the soldiers who died in Makiivka during the strike of the Ukrainian army from HIMARS. Russia's Defense Ministry earlier reported the death of 63 Russian soldiers, and the governor of the Samara region, Dmitry Azarov, confirmed that some of the dead were from the region.
First, a church service was held. in the square for the dead and then a minute of silence was announced. After that, participants placed flowers at the Eternal Flame.
Chairwoman of the Women's Council of the 2nd Guards Army with the Red Banner Yekaterina Kolotovkina said that she is in constant contact with soldiers' wives.

A memorial to dead soldiers was also honored in Tolyatti. The event was held at Victory Park.
