US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan accepted at a White House briefing that the Taliban (the movement is banned in Russia) managed to seize a significant portion of the weapons that Washington had supplied to the Afghan military.
Sullivan noted that while the United States does not have complete information on every type of weapon.
“Obviously, we do not expect him to return it to us at Kabul Airport,” he added.
Sullivan also said the United States was considering sanctions in the context of the situation in Afghanistan.
