The bill was proposed by deputies of the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. In fact, he proposes to return to the model that existed before 2018: then the retirement age for most men began at 60, for women at 55.
Representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasize that raising the retirement age has negative consequences. These include the deteriorating health status of people of pre-retirement age forced to work, an increase in the mortality of older people and people of pre-retirement age, an increase in the number of disabled people and unemployment. It should also be noted that these factors will increase the burden on the social security fund.
