Radical Taliban fighters (in Banned from the Russian Federation) captured the last of the largest cities on the way to the capital of Afghanistan – Kabul – Jalalabad, the administrative center of the eastern province of Nangarhar. AP writes about it.
The Taliban have posted photos on the web showing them in the city's governor's office. Locals said Jalalabad was captured by militants without a fight.

US President Joe Biden has ordered the US Secretary of State to support Afghan leader Ashraf Ghani and other country leaders in their efforts to reach a political settlement. Washington has begun moving more forces to Kabul.
