Armenian Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan 10. August went to Moscow for a working visit. He will be met by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in the Russian capital, the Armenian department said.
The meeting will be held at the invitation of the Russian side. In addition to the talks with Shoigu, there will be several more meetings, the ministry said.
The parties are expected to discuss the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which escalated on May 12, when Azerbaijani troops seized Black Lake in the Armenian region of Syunik. Since then, people have been regularly killed in the area.
