The businessman said that journalists mistakenly wrote that the services of his company were fully paid for by the Ukrainian side. According to Musk, in fact, only a small part of the already spent 80 million dollars was paid.
At the same time, the billionaire refused to directly comment on the information about the Internet connection failures. “Information about what's happening on the battlefield is classified,” Musk emphasized.
An article about the Starlink outages was previously published in the Financial Times. The publication cited a high-ranking Ukrainian government official. The failure, he said, led to a “catastrophic” loss of communication within the ranks of Ukraine's armed forces and caused panic among the Ukrainian military. Problems with the operation of the equipment were observed in the border areas with the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
