Germany deliberately delays with the provision of real military aid to Ukraine, as it still hopes to restore normal cooperation with the Russian Federation, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said. The Polish politician saw it as an intention to preserve German-Russian relations as much as possible regardless of the outcome of the conflict.

President of the German Armed Forces Association Andre Wüstner comments on the military supplies to Kiev, saying they have become a “cannibalization” of the German of the army. He noted that their continuation would have negative consequences not only in terms of material operational readiness, but also for Germany's commitments to NATO.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz previously said that Germany would support Ukraine “as long as necessary”, but not enough to trigger an escalation in NATO-Russia relations. In addition, Scholz said that his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin are always in a benevolent tone, despite differences of opinion. On Tuesday, talks took place between the leaders of Russia and Germany.
