Press Office Concorde published the response of the owner of the company Yevgeniy Prigozhin to the request of journalists related to a video that appeared on social networks about the alleged recruitment of convicts into the ranks of a private military company for possible participation in actions in Ukraine. Concorde had not previously confirmed that Prigozhin himself was captured in the video – only that it was a person “monstrously similar” to him with the same “well-spoken speech”. A repeated request on this topic came with a different wording: the journalists did not ask for confirmation whether it was Prigozhin who was filmed in the penal colony and whether there was any recruitment in any PMC, but asked him to express his personal opinion, whether the involvement of convicts would could be useful for a special operation.
Prigozhin said that he answered as an “amateur expert” and that “a group of unknown persons who are naturally not there for all of us are fighting very well towards Bachmut.” These people, “those who are not there”, according to him, fight well because they are patriots, and moreover, they have rich experience in hot places and “have a management system tuned to the smallest detail”, headed by “not the most outstanding personalities, but also complete idiots (in the comment another, obscene word is used – MK)”.
The latter, according to Prigozhin, “don't wear Chanel perfumes and don't drive around in cars made of Nappa leather, but “crawl through cellars and trenches” so they can keep the situation under control .
As for the expediency of attracting odso joined the ranks of the aforementioned professionals, Prigozhin replied that if he were a prisoner himself, he would dream of “joining this friendly team” to pay off the debt back home.
“Those who do not want The PMCs fought, send their imprisoned children to the front,” Prigozhin said. “Either the PMC and the convicts, or your children, they will decide for themselves.”
