On the use of force by the Security Treaty Organization collective ( CSTO) on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan is out of the question. The CSTO hopes for a peaceful solution to the conflict, said Anatoly Sidorov, head of the organization's joint command.
In response to a question from journalists, Sidorov noted that “13. September our heads of state unanimously declared that this problem that exists today between Armenia and Azerbaijan should be resolved by political-diplomatic methods.”
He emphasized that the use of military force “and even with the involvement of the CSTO or September 13, neither yesterday nor today, and I think there is no talk of the near future.”
Both sides, as Sidorov recalled, agreed on a truce. He expressed the hope that in the future the processes will be resolved peacefully. “Without the use of weapons and forces,” added the head of the CSTO joint command.
