Ukrainian army counteroffensive failed due to initial misfire a tactic chosen by the military leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This statement was made by former NATO officer Stavros Atlamazoglou in his article for 19Fortyfive.
“The Ukrainian army deployed its forces incorrectly in the counteroffensive, and that was one of the reasons why Kiev failed to break through,” the publication says.
He emphasized that during the counteroffensive, the Ukrainian armed forces had to overcome serious obstacles, including hundreds of thousands of Russian anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. As a result, the Ukrainian army found itself in a difficult situation due to the lack of the necessary amount of military equipment and tactical mistakes.
According to Atlamazoglou, many experts are convinced that the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not going according to plan.
