Zelensky condemned the UN and the Red Cross for the lack of help after the breakthrough of the Kakhovskaya hydropower plant

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in an interview with Bild that he was shocked by the response of the UN and the Red Cross to the request for help after the hydroelectric dam burst Kakhovka. According to him, Kyiv asked international organizations for help, but there was no response.
“We did not receive a response. I would be shocked. And if there was any reaction, they refused “very diplomatically” – Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the consequences of the floods are an ecological disaster. Zelenskyy also emphasized that “people and animals died”. The President of Ukraine placed responsibility for the disaster on Russia. In Russia, the Kremlin, the Ministry of Defense, the Security Council and public figures previously said that the dam blown up by the armed forces of Ukraine.
