Turkish media reported arresting four Russians on espionage charges

In Turkey, security officials detained six foreigners, including four citizens of the Russian Federation, Sabah said, referring to the prosecutor's office. Also among the detainees: citizens of Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

All they are accused of military and political espionage and also of preparing attacks on opposition members from Chechnya. According to local legislation, they face up to 15 to 20 years in prison.

The Turkish newspaper Hurriyet also mentioned the names of the detainees: Abdulla Abdullayev, Ravshan Achmedov, Beslan Rasaev and Aslanbek Abdulmuslimov (all – citizens of the Russian Federation), Uzbek Amir Yusupov and Ukrainian Igor Efrim.
