Deputy Chep: Vučić's declaration of willingness to cooperate with the USA is political

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's declaration of readiness to cooperate with the US military is political and will not lead to real action. This is according to Alexei Chepa, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs. He stated this in an interview with Lenta.ru.
According to him, in the current situation in the Balkan country, it is unprofitable to have a pro-Russian position.
“Unfortunately, a pro-Russian position will cause significant internal destabilization in the country,” thinks Chepa.
He reminded that today many Serbs do not accept some statements of their president, not only on Kosovo, but also on other issues.
Čepa also indicated that it is unlikely that after such a statement by Vučić, Washington will send its troops to Serbia.
