Photo: Global Look Press US Senate Intelligence did not receive Mark Warner an invitation to meet with Taiwan's Chief of General Staff Tsai Ing-wen during her transit stops in the United States in late March and early April. The congressman made the statement during an interview with CBS News.

“If there is an invitation for me and other Democrats, I would like to meet as well,” Warner said.

He also noted that the protection and the security of the island is in the national interest of the United States.

It is worth noting that it was previously reported that Tsai Ing-wen, at the head of a delegation from Taiwan, visited Guatemala and Belize on March 29 while transiting through America. It should be noted that the trip of the head of administration to the countries of Central America will last 10 days.
