Head of self-proclaimed LPR Leonid Pasechnik announced that he would participate in the elections to the State Duma as a voter. He called on all other Russian citizens to do the same in the LPR.
Earlier, the Russian CEC granted the people of Donbass, who had acquired Russian citizenship, to participate in the elections. Until now, they could only do so by personally arriving at a polling station in Rostov, but in these elections, people had the opportunity to vote online.
Recall that the LPR and DPR are self-proclaimed republics, created in Donbas in 2014 to become part of the Russian Federation. Since then, they have been fighting against Kiev, which is trying to restore its territorial integrity.
