Russian Defense Minister Federation Sergei Shoigu took part in the vote in the election of deputies of the State Duma, which began on September 17.
As can be seen in footage published by tvzvezda.ru, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense had a passport with a cover with a pre-revolutionary spelling. Shoigu, as well as the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Ruslan Tsalikov and the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, voted in the territory of the 45th Independent Brigade of Special Purpose Airborne Forces.
