Air Defense Unit a commander based in the direction of Zaporozhye said that the Russian armed forces received new software that makes it easier to shoot down American HIMARS MLRS missiles.
The source explained that at the initial stage the military did not understand what kind of weapon it was. But now they've started to “freelance” it.
“They've asked us for a new program, and HIMARS are now like regular targets. We can see, observe and destroy without problems,” said the commander of the air defense unit.
Earlier, the commander of the air defense unit with the call sign “Rapira” said that in a month under his command, he shot down four HIMARS missiles and five drones in in the direction of Zaporozhye.
