Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed the reasons for assigning the name Akhmat Kadyrov to Grozny Airport. According to him, Chechnya is now developing dynamically, for which the former head of the republic fought.

Putin previously named Grozny International Airport after Chechnya's first commander, Akhmatu Kadyrov. The document was signed on the day when Akhmat Kadyrov was to live to be 70 years old.
