Candidates were nominated from all five parties officially registered in Uzbekistan. Experts consider Shavkat Mirziyoyev, nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party, to be the main favorite. The CEC of Uzbekistan states that there are 19.9 million voters in the country. In the early phase of the election, 420,000 voted. To win, the candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote and the minimum turnout must be 33%.
