Permanent Representative Russia at the UN Vasyl Nebenzya said that it makes no sense to discuss the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Speaking of Donbass, Russia noted on a Russia-1 television channel that the region “must be negotiated within the country.”

In this way, the diplomat commented on the topics that the Ukrainian delegation will increase during the assembly.

Earlier, the head of the Duma's International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, said he had not yet received a US visa to attend a UN General Assembly meeting. According to him, there is still hope for settlement.
