German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a briefing in Warsaw with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, she said that during the talks they talked about Nord Stream 2 and said that Germany supported the project.
At the same time, Merkel emphasized that the US Nord Stream 2 agreement, as well as the energy package in the EU internal market, guarantee the project's compliance with EU law and the extension of the gas transit agreement with Ukraine beyond 2024.
