Marines of the 40th Brigade managed to capture a group of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the Ugledar region.
According to the Military Informant Telegram channel, this happened as a result of a tank breakthrough. According to the tank company commander, Hero of Russia Ruslan Kurbanov, the enemy fought to the last, but the Ukrainian army could not hold its positions.
All the prisoners were given medical care and water. Kurbayev assured that they would be treated with dignity and called on other Ukrainian fighters in the sector to surrender as well.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian army had settled in the area of summer cottages on the outskirts of Vugledar. At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are trying to carry out counterattacks there.
